Netsens’ products for distributed monitoring represent the very best in the detection of physical, chemical and climatic parameters, in several advanced applications.
Netsens has developed a proprietary communication platform, allowing the acquisition and transmission of data to a main unit equipped with either GPRS or LAN connectivity.
Our strong points are:
- Easy installation
The wireless units do not require any infrastructure, power supply is provided with a high capacity battery (more than 2 years of autonomy without solar panel) and transmit wireless signals across long distance.
- High reliability and low maintenance
Netsens products are manufactured using professional technologies, which render the units both robust and reliable, thus minimizing the necessity of on the spot intervention.
- Excellent quality/cost ratio
The adoption of proprietary systems (hardware and software) and high technological contents has led to highly advanced products with an extremely competitive quality/cost ratio even when compared to traditional systems.
- Flexibility and expandability
The wide monitoring area coverage can be further expanded by means of optional relays; such network expansion, carried out through wireless units or relays, can also be implemented at a later date. In addition each wireless unit can be easily repositioned according to specific needs.

→ How it works:
The Wireless sensor networks (WSN) represent a distributed tool capable of monitoring the surrounding environment in real time, with both precision and reliability.
The WSN consists of a number of sensors placed in proximity of or within the area to be monitored connected via radio to a main unit, which gathers the data and forwards them to a central server via internet.
The WSN technology allows to significantly improve remote monitoring and actuating applications, providing innovating features with both low capital and maintenance costs.
The main structure of a WSN is constituted by a communication platform, which ensures reliable communication between wireless units and the main unit. Each wireless unit is powered by a battery with limited capacity due to costs and space, but is capable of ensuring years of life time, before being replaced.
Netsens platform represents an end-to-end hardware and software solution which means it is capable of managing the flux starting from data gathering, storage, up to its presentation through the data effective, multifunctional user interface. This technology also allows to invert the flux, addressing, by means of the same user interface, the field units with remote commands.
This technology asset has enabled Netsens to get full control on the communication, to maintain the continuous evolution of the products, independently from third parts, and to minimize costs.
