Perfect Green
Maintain the Perfection
The lush greens and fairways of the golf courses are the result of a careful management of water irrigation in different soils, a perfect balance between the need of green water, climatic conditions and resource savings by the greens keeper.
The different field capacity, the different turfs and the presence of trees implies the need to manage irrigation in a specific way for each district: having sensors in this field provides an important help to give their members a top coat.
Wireless sensors where needed
The VineSense system stands for the possibility of installing soil moisture sensors, where the user wants, without creating obstacles and especially without the need for structural relief, such as furrows, trenches etc.
Furthermore, the particular design of wireless units, curvilinear shapes and colours can be changed by the user, the system makes a nice gadget to show off to players in the green.
Calibrated irrigation for uneven areas
The areas of the golf course, with turf and inhomogeneous soil with different water retention need a controlled and differentiated irrigation according to specific needs, areas with greater water stagnation or more arid undermine the uniformity of the green, with damages to the lawn due to excess or shortage of water.
To calibrate the amount of water according to different needs is a guarantee of proper maintenance of the green features and user satisfaction of the golf course.
Evapotranspiration
In addition to soil moisture sensors, another important factor in determining water needs of the field is the evapotranspiration index, which calculates the ratio between water extracted from soil by sending grass and effect of solar radiation and air temperature, together with the extent of rainwater and the calculation of the water supplied for irrigation; evapotranspiration can be estimated by water balance, whose trend is important to understand whether the water provided to the field is in excess or not.
Irrigation command and control tools: Simple Apps for your smartphone
Along with the wireless sensor system VineSense, you can also integrate the WiSense irrigation controller, which allows the green keepers to manage the irrigation system while away from the golf course, simply by connecting to the Internet, you can interact with the app that drives the solenoid from the Internet, provides information on the state of the solenoid, the daily and weekly programming, and can activate or disable the system automatically based on user parameters.
Golf Web Access: one more service to members
Equipping the golf course with a wireless monitoring system, such as sensors for measuring wind and rain and UV index, is not just an element of utility for those involved in field management, but it can be a plus to share with athletes; thanks to the web Apps, they can see field conditions from their smartphone, analyse wind conditions, rain or even to avoid exposure during the hottest hours when the UV index becomes harmful, relaxing in the lounge bar with a drink.
Netsens solutions:
 |
Sensors in the field VineSense in the irrigation version allows to deploy soil moisture sensors in the field, distributed only where needed. |
